History

 

1991 - The Automation Technology Center (ATC) was established in 1991. The goal of ATC is to integrate the technologies in the areas of engineering, hardware, and software for future industrial automation.

1997 - The Provincial Taipei Institute of Technology was promoted to University status, and was renamed as National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) in 1997.

2000 - The Graduate Institute of Automation Technology (GIAT) was established in 2000, in order to provide well-rounded and inter-discipline system study to graduate students (including Master, in-service Master program, and Ph.D. Program).

Since 1991, ATC and GIAT have cultivated hundreds of talented automation engineers and outstanding alumni in academic field and industries in the country and abroad. With faculties and students’ endeavors, GIAT keeps striving toward the goal of promoting industrial automation technology in Taiwan.
